I'm an eclectic provider who has been practicing since 1993. I have a broad array of experiences while working in various settings. I started my professional journey in Lawrence, Kansas where I worked in a variety of settings gaining experience in the areas of sexuality, trauma, suicide prevention and management, and cult recovery. I then moved to Philadelphia to attend The University of Pennsylvania. I then worked in the area of sexual assault including work with survivors and perpetrators including various types of therapy, forensic evaluations of children and adults, psycho education and development, and research. Currently, I have a general practice with a speciality in sexuality. I work with all ages of individuals from young children to older adults. Many of my clients come in because they value self work and want to improve their already satisfying lives.  Others come for assistance in areas pertaining to sexuality, depression, ADHD, anxiety, trauma, parenting and many more types of difficulties. I like to work deeply and closing with individuals on their goals with a focus on empowerment in an open/non-shaming environment.

I have worked with many families and individuals on and off over decades. Others may come in for short-term therapy

My Philosophy

I use an eclectic approach which allows me work on different therapeutic goals in a variety of ways. My approaches included psycho-dynamic, cognitive behavioral, humanistic, dialectical behavioral therapy, undirected and directed play therapy, sand tray work, and an Integrative Model for Exploring Desire and Intimacy. I am a client-centered practicer.

My Philosophy

Dr. Carroll believes that sexuality is an integral part of who we are and includes many important aspects of self, including our ability to express intimacy, be vulnerable, and trust others. Our self-perceptions are shaped by many factors, including our sexual/gender identity, gender roles, and sexual orientation. These, in turn, contribute to our acceptance and enjoyment of our bodies and our relationships. Although coaching can explore issues directly related to one's sexuality, such as improving sexual health, reducing sex guilt, sexual or gender identity, it can also explore more indirect issues, such as improving self-image and self-confidence, overcoming limiting beliefs, finding life purpose, stress management, relationships, life transitions, motivation, and authentic living. Coaching can help you tap into an underused area of your brain that will enable you to handle stress and challenges in different ways, helping you clarify your priorities, overcome hurdles, recognize blind spots, change self-defeating behaviors, and connect with your personal power and life purpose.
